Summer’s Last Bloom . . .
Here’s the shot before I applied tone-mapping, cropping, dodging and burning in . . .
to think I used to do all this in the darkroom with all the set-up, mixing and smelling the chemicals, with the mess to clean up afterward. It’s still time consuming, but I love digital photography . . . AND I don’t have to worry about burning up film.
The large upstairs window was, at one time, Norman Rockwell’s studio in Stockbridge, MA. Tried to make this photo look as much like a Rockwell as I could.

I took about 30 shots just trying to capture the right combination of pedestrians on the sidewalk with no traffic reflections in the windows.
